Paths unknown

Have you ever wanted to travel but just didn't know where to begin?  Well, you are in good company. Walking, hiking, eating, drinking while absorbing the culture, language and landscape of an area or country can be intimidating.  But, and that's a big but, the payoff of the experience is worth the effort.

Personally, prepackaged vacations are not my thing.  I am not knocking them, but I have tried a couple and I found them to be too limiting or the pace to be against my grain.  I am adventurous.  Not necessarily in the bungee jumping kind of way, but I get my thrills from experiencing and visiting a part of the world that is different from where I have already been. With that said, I like to be my own planner.  I like to pick my days, things to see and do, and take my time.  If I want to be crazy busy, or have a laid back chill kind of day, then that is what I do.  A loose itinerary does not appeal to everyone. But it certainly opens the door to experience what is available that you may have not even known existed.  

So, this blog is about transparent travel, paths unknown or my hiking path.  The great outdoors has endless opportunities and I hope to see as many as I can.  I will share prior trips abroad and stateside.
